Galeria Sic Art is a small home and interiors publication. We write practical guides for the person actually doing the room — choosing a kitchen, laying out a patio, keeping an old house safe and warm, and making the everyday decisions that decide whether a space works.
The name is our conceit. We treat a well-made room the way a gallery treats a piece: worth looking at closely, and worth getting right. Every guide is catalogued by the room it belongs to, so you can start from wherever you are in the house.
What we are, and what we are not
We are a reading room, not a showroom. We do not sell furniture or building supplies, and we are not a shop. The guides are free to read, there is no sign-up and no newsletter wall, and we keep the writing plain so you can follow it while the job is in front of you.
How we write
Guides are written and edited by the Galeria Sic Art editorial team. Where a guide touches on something that can go badly wrong — electrics, gas and heating, or structural work — we say plainly when a job needs a qualified, registered trade. Some things are worth doing yourself; some are not worth the risk of doing wrong.
